A commercial truck driver in Ohio found a kitten stuck between his truck’s tires during a pre-trip inspection on the Ohio Turnpike in Portage County.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol shared a video on X (formerly known as Twitter) showing the rescue effort. “Mission Im-paw-sible,” the video’s caption read.
In the footage, the small kitten can be seen trapped between the truck’s wheels as onlookers try to figure out how to safely free her. “Its paw’s stuck,” one person says as the camera zooms in on a team member examining the situation.
Large vehicles were brought in to aid the rescue. After removing the wheel, a team member quickly scooped up the kitten and placed her in a box, explaining that the kitten was likely just trying to find “a place to hide.”
“Thankfully, you found her before you drove off,” one person is heard saying, with another echoing how they were “glad the driver noticed it.”
The Ohio State Highway Patrol praised the successful rescue, writing on X, “Our Troopers utilized their training and worked together to safely free the kitten from her precarious position.”
It’s unclear what happened to the kitten after the rescue, but the heartwarming video shows the dedication of the officers who went above and beyond to save the small feline in need.
